Lost this battle before EQ was a thing.

I've never really drunk Caffeine in any form since Soda as a kid, but definitely no Coffee/Energy Drinks/etc in my professional life.

Never had an issue staying awake as long as needed, so I chalk it up to not being caffeine dependent.

Had insomnia issues for years and tried everything. What's worked best for me is actually Trazodone. It's not actually sleep medication but an anti-depressant that relaxes me and helps me fall asleep more naturally than ambien ever did and I don't wake up groggy.

Yeah go get hopped up on a shitload of cathinone, mephedrone, methylone and other stimulant/ MDxx derivatives. Never take these.

The only Methylenedioxy you should be taking is Methylenedioxy-Methamphetamine. Use very sparingly.

I would suggest strong coffee, good sex, and exercise to stay awake.

Trazadone is awesome and works great for me and several people I know ... but what's this about it not being a sleep medication? Wikipedia lists "insomnia" as one of it's main medical uses, and everyone I know of was prescribed it for sleep.

Yes that is a main medicinal use but it was originally designed as an anti-depressant(SARI). Certainly works well as one though.

trazodone gives me a horrific headache and next-day hangover, but it is uniquely stronger than antihistamines as a sleep aid. Clonidine is another good medication with off-label sleeping indications; prescribed as blood pressure med but lowers heart rate and cardiac output. It feels exactly like a not-fun benzo.
