Someone will delete your items and character and you won't get them back since you freely handed out the password.

This seems to be the consensus, was thinking I could just strip the character or leave the gear there and if it gets swiped it get's swiped, but didn't consider someone would actually delete the entire character out of spite or something.

Safs, Cos, these are generous offers. Rest assured I'd never perpetrate such ignoble acts against your characters. But then I would not play them either ^^ treat your passwords like the ring of power: keep it safe, keep it secret ^^

Some years ago a player once made his Hole key mule publicly available. The character was deleted within hours.

Seems to me that even if the staff had NO issues with it, that sooner rather than later an arsehole would do something shady with it. =/
