That's a good point, as there are currently (to my knowledge) no limitations on login attempts in a time frame, leaving us vulnerable to brute force scripts. Maybe our wonderful devs want to add one, as a preventative measure? Dealing with scores of hacked accounts will be a much bigger headache in the long run...

That would definitely help if there was a limit try or whatever for the day. Or like the classic EQ use to warn "your account has been unsuccessfully logged in x amount of times today message"
But p99 staff seem more worried about creating a new class R otation system and implementing and enforcing more rules .
or allowing guild B to sit in "traffic" to get guild A suspended. (see raid discussion)
I don't see anything happening anytime soon with this account leak info.
We can hope some common sense gets injected and they don't go bat shit crazy with rules , but so far it is not looking that way. and if these new rules get out of control you can expect the staff to be occupied the rest of the year with petition wars.
* (non raiders) say :
* more rules = less work for staff.*
* (reality and past experience Proves opposite) :
* more rules = more work for staff.*
^should fall under common sense too.^
