so i finaLLY tried to play it this past winter and i just couldn't pick it up again after making it past the beginner dungeon

I can do SNES NP however, many greats are works of art

n64 zelda isnt really actually good.

HEY LISTEN is super anoying and the game basically has that n64 black shadow all over it.

its just a medicore zelda game'

now the minish cap? thats the jam

also shadows of the empire is a+ as far as n64 goes

Ocarina of Time not actually good? Thats the first time ive heard someone say.
The antialiasing on N64 was bad and have aged horribly, its not the games fault - try wii VC instead(or emulator)

Banjo Kazooie best N64 game
ALttP best zelda - snes best nintendo machine

I know its edgy but seriously ocarina of time is not actually a good game.

i fail to believe this. nice troll attempt but we all know LOD *was* a great game.

Also, Ocarina of time was an amazing game. Even more so because it was the first 3d Zelda. So to say it wasn't a great game is kinda funny.

wait, because something is kinda mediocre but the first of what every game would do (become 3d) is enough for it to be a great game?

That means that castlevania 3D on n64 would have to be a great game too. It is far from.

Ocarina is an ok game, but great, idk thats a little much. And considering its the first 3D zelda, the fact that it is just an ok game, makes it very disappointing imo.

Just take the ambiance of a link to the past, and compare it to the ambiance of the n64 one.. the snes one is superior by far. The story, characters, environment art, everything is just drastically more charming. And I'm not even talking about technical limitations being a hurtle that prevents the n64 from aching the same quality, I'm talking just straight up appeal of the characters/style/storytelling etc

The designs, are just better.

That rainy night the game begins on is > any moment in the n64 Zelda.

SNES Zelda feels like the last great Zelda to me as well. (Then, the GameBoy one!)

3D Zelda took too long to come out and when it finally did; I was meh oh look another 3D game of the era with a Zelda graphics mod.

Kinda agree. I think that Ocarina of Time was good for its time. I went back on my N64 emulator to play the game, and I actually went and picked up a N64 USB controller from MicroCenter to have a better experience since the N64 controller was so unique. I lost interest in the game after sneaking into Hyrule Castle to meet Zelda for the first time.

if you haven't played the minish cap (not sure if this is the gameboy one you were talkn bout lulz), and are a fan of A link to the past, then I strongly urge it! Its one of my favorite zeldas, in that 1. its just like a link to the past but 2. its HUGE! There is a real feeling of a living world. Alttp feels great, and is huge, but this one is huger, and just feels a bit mroe alive, there are more NPC's and side quests and stuff to go on that really make it feel alive.

Anyway, you should play it on an emulator on your PC or on a gamecube with the GBA atachment, so you can enjoy it on a full screen. Games are better on the big screen IMO than on a handheld.

A Link to the Past is still amazing to go back and play. Most 2D classics have stood the test of time. Sadly those early 3D classics have aged horribly. Ocarina of Time was great when it came out but it's better to just let it stay as a good memory than try to replay it.

new Mario seems pretty medicore thus far. I am only a couple of hours in... I think I have like 55 moons? Its so dumbly easy that I am not really sure what is going on. Maybe it gets harder? It better. Would make sense for it to start slow and get tougher, but I am starting to think this is just the game since I am on world 5ish
