nothing in the patch notes warns us of unknown errors when trying to join. so maybe you could enlighten us what specifically we should have a look at.

i had no problems earlier today but no i cannot log in. reinstalling the patch files didn't help either.

i have same problem,

can it be a problem with the server file check process? i logged in saw the get new files thing, got new files, and now this server unkonwn error when i click play on project 1999 server, its like the file check is not picking up what it needs to pickup or something

I'm getting this too after having installed the new update.

Same

I have the same issue however I applied the patch last night and played for several hours. This morning its bonked.

I woke up to needing a new spell file. Installed it and was able to log on fine this morning. I logged off and am trying to get back on now but having the same problem as these folks.

[Edit] Strike that. Got the error message a few times. Let it time out, and now I'm able to log in.

I was able to connect but didn't see that there were patch notes. I logged in and encountered the "you need new spell files" message. Did so, and am not unable to log in.

edit: and now i am working. My suggestion is just to keep restarting the client and trying.

berkemi5's ultra scientific approach worked for me.

I had the same thing, also after last patch. I think it's something with the way the Titanium Client opens network connections. For me, what solved it, is to restart network connections.

Try disabling and enabling your inet network device (May or may not work, I play on Linux and do it differently ;)
