why is it not classic? you could have multiple accounts on classic.

Seems like a stupid thing to complain about, how does it impact you?

The same issue will continue to happen on green. Greenies would camp items to sell on the perpetual green server.

The population isn't that strong to support 3 servers. Its not perfect, but the current set up seems to be best compromise.

Unless you were one of those super billionaires with fancy sport cars and supermodel girlfriends with knobby knees as pets, each slot account required a code key bought written inside the box, along with the monthly subscription rate. On Project 1999, everything is quite free. Since these threads seem to be filled with memories, my memory back then of those with multiple accounts was "mommy and daddy's credit card while Junior had Cheetos fingers and peed into Mountain Dew bottles."

Rogean could be vindictive and set up a secure account where people electronically prove who they are and that six digit yearly paycheck is their own. Maybe every $100,000 allows that person another account - thus break the first one hundred grand and get a second account, two hundred grand offers a third account.

Just a thought!

Wipe it Clean 2019.

The blue server will be like vallhala for all the people who lived through timelines.

You guys were talking about 4 year cycles. Your green world and the dead ass blue world are going to combine to be just fine. Youl have plenty of pixels.

I don't see a reason for anyone to choose to start a toon on blue during this period which means it becomes a museum of people finishing up their dragon loot.

It already basically is.

I was the only person in Dreadlands last night after a certain hour. That was kinda creepy. I wonder what the lower level metrics are right now.

FV style server where every player could only make 1 char would be amazing for an eq emu. God i wish that could happen here

I agree.

I only recently learned that the meta is to make a new account for every character.

It’s super dumb and I hate it. Totally not classic at all.

I support an account limit. Being able to create unlimited free accounts isn't classic. And back then having more than 1 account was unheard of - if you had access to multiple accounts it was always a friend or family member.

I haven't played in a few years, but like someone mentioned, switching characters is faster if the characters are on separate accounts. I assume it's still the case.

DMN 09-26-2019 03:34 AM

Yep, keep it green.

Transfer everyone off green to blue when the timelines converge. Then reset green.

Sonark 09-26-2019 05:38 AM

Isn't that the stated plan?

To move everyone on green to blue when the timeline is up, and then reset everything?
