Wow this is just horrible whoever that rogue is we should name and shame them you know just to know who to avoid...

Cool so paladins can do one good thing for one small period of the game.

More power to those brave souls.

Paladins are garbage so not sure what the issue here is, let them have their time in the sun

Lol seriously? It’s game-breaking for paladins to have high level weapons through a quest that can be done by a level 1 sneaking rogue. No one is suggesting it’s game breaking for the rogue...other than the money they could earn at level one selling it.

So, based on this, the wiki is wrong on how it works? Wiki says you have to keep them alive for 10-15 minutes.

Can the NPC survive that long on their own? Or do you need to kite like a previous poster mentioned?

I'm actually impressed on how creative folks get for rewards.

Yeah, I'm totally confused here too.

Not really. Damage caps are a thing for melee. Paladins arent going to be doing any super impressive solo feats due to them having this weapon early on.

MWA HA HA! Twas I! The great noble gnome, Pockete!!

And I am no level 1 rogue....that would be silly. No no, I'ms level 7!!!!

But, the key part isn't being a rogue...the key is being a gnome! For only a gnome of great bravery could accomplish such a noble quest so soon.

It was not easy, and I had to spent a great deal of my noble gnome fortune....and it took much planning and perfect execution....but I done did it!

Then, of course, I hads to find me a noble paladin worthy of such a weapon. That I knew no one else would be able to get for some time ((the quest isn't bugged like it was on classic, you gotta actually do it)).

So I devised a quest! Which I said in Freeport last night after announcing I was to do so! Now I travels the world.....looking for a noble paladin that can accomplish my test of nobility.

This isn’t blue, guys. The whole point of green is a classic progression. If everyone can obtain items almost BiS before planes, it ruins the experience.

As a paladin, I don’t want to already have a weapon almost as good as mithril two hander when people are still using rusty and combine weapons. If you can’t see this is stupid then what is the point of a fresh green server.

...In classic, this quest didn't work....so you just had to go up to the NPC and say a phrase and she would drop the weapon. Here you gotta actually do it.

It isn't something any willy nilly paladin can go just pick up. People have theorized how I done did it, but I not gonna tell.

It was very clever though, perhaps the most noble and clever gnome solution to ever be accomplished!!! Using a deep knowledge of the ocean....and a long time exploring....to find just the perfect mix of a plan to achieve great deeds of nobleness.
