you’re in our world now!

They knew it was going to happen. They could have blocked that before opening kunark.
Once again it sounds more like it was left on for three days so their friends could go bind and then fudge the rest of the server or anybody that wasn't around yet. |
I just don't understand why verant created the pots if ppl where not allowed to bind there.
I mean, who goes to oasis, waits for boat, and runs afterwards the whole zone south to the pots if he could get a port within 5 mins from a druid or wizard? Mc`Quaid: ok, we got one dev. whos bored! go create the firepots noone will ever use! |

People, please.
The original EQ devs created the firepot room as a cool little curio, not intending it to be a game-changing self-port machine. They didn't think "Everyone will bind here." When they found out people were binding there, they made the zone un-bindable. The P99 devs follow the exact same timeline. It was nerfed on Green after 4 days (96 hours), just like it was on Red eight (?) years ago and on Blue ten years ago. It is not some attempt to give favors to their friends and exclude others. I'd estimate thousands of characters were bound at the firepots on Green in those 96 hours. No one was excluded. However, I do think they should have made an announcement on these forums at the moment of the opening of Kunark. I know some people were standing by waiting for Kunark to open so they could bind at the firepots, but they didn't get the memo. It's too bad. However, the game goes on. I had a lot of fun on five different EMU servers before Green99 without binding a single character at the firepots. |

However, it was a full 4 days. Kunark opened on a Friday night and firepot binding was removed on Tuesday night. |

Firepot is a hassle anyways. Bind where you fight.
