I leave my game running while AFK a lot and have sometimes occasionally experienced this too. I've gone days AFK at the same spot without being booted, so I don't think there's a fixed timeout or anything like that. I just sometimes randomly find myself at the character select screen (or even login page sometimes). I've checked logs to confirm it's not something like zone/server reboot, so I haven't figured out a pattern yet. Connection blip maybe?

I too can attest that ive left my mule logged in overnight, and found that i was booted to character select in the morning.

There is no trackable pattern, perhaps there may be in a larger sample but not in my experience.

Never been kicked off for being AFK overnight / for extended periods. I don't do it often though. Fell asleep in a group once and woke up at druid rings because they got someone to port me out. Solid group.
