ranger cloak has been upgraded

Shouldn't have been until Velious. Need to know if devs are going to just roll with the oversight, or if these items will be removed and components reimbursed until the proper late March 2001 timeline.

Today's update includes several new plane of air rewards as well as new items from Plane of Mischief, Dragon Necropolis and Siren's Grotto.

In other news I wanted to remind everyone that all servers go down at 3AM this morning for a patch. As always you can get your daily dose of Everquest related news in addition to item updates at our new site at mmo.gameznet.com. Lastly I figured some players might be interested in hearing that we have a contest going on over at our Atriarch site. This is a contest sanctioned by the official development team and will reward Atriarch points just for entry for all of you hoping to get in to the beta.

New 1HBlunts: Paebala Fetish.
New Piercers: Garduk(SHM).
New Missile Weapons: Windstriker(RNG).
New Breastplate: Spined Seahorse Hide Breastplate.
New Cloaks: Dark Cloak of the Sky(RNG).
New Shoulders: Fairy-Hide Mantle(SHM).
New Shields: Buckler of Doom.
New Held Items: Ervaj's Flute of Flight(BRD).
Updated Plane of Air Quests: POA Bard, POA Ranger, POA Shaman.

Haven't we gone over this before, those are "new" to the site, that's not evidence of them being new items in game... see: Garduk and Windstriker listed in the same update as "new" items, despite being items that were not upgraded rewards.

Yes, we have gone over this before. The consensus and all of the evidence pointed towards March 2001. The only detractors in the thread were "C'mon man, just leave it as-is and work on Velious".

Yes, a few existing items had their stats tweaked during Kunark.

This was not the wholesale replacement of quest rewards with new items. You are assuming too much from "had their stats tweaked". Going from a Spiroc Healer's Cloak to the Dark Cloak of the Sky is not having its "stats tweaked". It is more in line with "quests had their rewards modified" from the March 2001 post I quoted.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the Necro sky rewards have been updated? The quest givers don't mention anything about it.

Confirmed the necro wrist and ring are yielding upgrades, even though the quest giver does not offer any text saying as much.
