P99 blue wisely using a "modern" client and UI makes the game playable in the 21st century. The classic client was oudated and bad on release in 1999, nevermind 20 years into the future.

Enforcing classic UI/client would be like forcing you to play on 15 inch CRTs in the name of classic.

it's absolute garbage, and whoever made it should be ashamed of themselves. It doesn't emulate the classic UI in any sense whatsover. Its the exact same UI that comes with titanium, only some shmuck trimmed the borders so everything is just straight lines. No nostalgia, no immersion.

They took what was once a reasonable UI and stripped it down to straight black lines. They can't even figure out how to get hot buttons 7-10 to save right, even though, "The fix is always one patch away" patches go by, no fix.

I run p99 on x2 GTX 3070s, and the UI looks like someone made it in etch-a-sketch.

It's a bummer because the velious UI is not classic, its custom.

I used the solid windowed full role playing game UI until it got disappeared from the game, and then a full custom UI.

Never used velious UI in my life.

You can customize the fake p99 green velious UI quite a bit but it takes some work to move stuff around to make it decent. Best thing is to use a windowed 4:3 mode so you can see the game properly instead of cropped.

It’s almost like the server is run by unpaid volunteers and some changes are easier to make/code than others
