Bard DA lasts 3 ticks. I've used it to split Trips before and have done a lot of analysis on the video of the splits for what went right/wrong, and it always lasts between 12 and 18 seconds depending on server tick timing relative to when the song lands.

If it wasn't clear you need both a CoTH and a DA. Get CoTHed to trips and make the run to PoM using the DA to survive.

And yes bard DA along with 99% of bard songs last 3 ticks. Pro Tip try and get as far as you can before using DA to give maximum time buts its not a far run, agree with other's suggestions that getting a sow before zoning into ToV is good idea just to make it easier and less likely hood of a timing issue.

Alternatively to get there without a DA, and potentially without a CoTH your best window is when Vulak is open for engage as guilds will be training around all the mobs in your way from trips and sometimes all the way from the entrance (or atleast the NToV door if you're factioned). Just be warned if you screw something up you will have a lot of people be maximum angry at you as vulak is the most cried over mob in the game if things go sideways.

That's two ticks. Everybody else is out there enjoying luxury 18-24 second das.

Fascinating, I had assumed that tick count decrements each server tick, and that meant you got one short tick out of every duration. That, and everything I've seen listed Bard songs as 3 ticks and also DA/Harmshield as 3 ticks.

You're right though, my first DA on my cleric was 23 seconds. I need to go double check if Dictate lasts 48-54 seconds or 42-48 like I thought.

Dictate is 48-54 my timer often runs out before the spell
