Soul Defiler - 71.74
Frostwrath - 68.89

(Assuming Mrylokar + Claw of Lightning rogue doing 141.19, and Abashi Rod monk doing 110.45)

DPS will vary by target. The Frostwrath is ok but mainly shines when the DD lands (blue cons, susceptible target) and you have a string of proc luck. The Soul Defiler is a better raw ratio but is about on par with a Reaver.

I’d get a ToV or similar 2h. For a budget buy the Rocksmasher is great. If you have 41% haste elsewhere other options are out there. The only time I use a 1h/shield is when I’m tanking and wanting to look like a try-hard.

Soul Defiler will outdamage Frostwrath ever so slightly. One reason is because the rate of FW's proc isn't the best. Also the higher in level you go, the proc gets resisted a lot. Soul Defiler's proc will also allow you to recover mana in combat to land another clutch Drain Soul which is 338 HP you might need.

Personally I use Greenmist if I already have Soul Defiler proc because the lifetap effect lasts so long and I can swap to epic to have their effects stack if lucky.

IIRC the texture updater thread also has a fix for the same issue.

Being in Skeleton form also fixes the issue. Personally I have never understood the big issue with Iksar 2H animation.

Real RPGers play in 1st person anyway - iksar animation is everyone elses problem <3

Main benefit of Frostwrath is it's cheaper and more common than Soul Defiler. Ratios are similar, so DPS shouldn't be vastly different between the two. If you can only pick one, go Soul Defiler for the proc.
