Hah! This reminds me of how I handle telemarketers etc. When they call and start in on their speech, I ask them to hold on for a moment. I put the phone down and resume playing EQ, watching TV, whatever. Eventually they catch on and hang up but hey, I got to waste their time.

Striiker noooo! You're doing it wrong. When they get to sit around and not have to talk it's the only relaxation they get.

Not having to call (automated or manually) the next person, listen and prepare to speak, etc.

Can mute mic and potentially talk to someone nearby.

Can potentially (if not closely monitored) bust out the smartphone.

Draw on paper, etc.

Don't do them a favor!
