P1999 certainly isnt dying anytime soon.

D3, Star Wars, and any other game is only going to have a temporary effect on the core of the server. We are here because we cannot (and probably will not) get over the nostalgia of a 13 year old game.

I see newbies all the time; sometimes people whom this is their first MMO. It's free, its up 99.99% of the time, and regardless of what forums display the vast majority are friendly and more than willing to help folks get started with gear and advice.

The double XP weekend awhile back brought back about 100 players. Used to see 320 online in the evening...before that it was closer to 250.

This time last year 800 in the evening was a low number. If we could make selling in EC less of a headache, I'd be fine with 400 peak pre-Velious. But right now I don't have the patience to sit there 5 hours seeing no one pop up what I want to buy, or want to buy what I'm sellin' :(

Increase xp there and it might be upgraded from critical to serious condition.

Exp increased twice, but need people to bring people, and people need something to achieve to come back. Hundreds of 50s didn't leave because of exp rates.

You're looking to bring back old players, I'm looking to bring in new players, and that's because I don't think too many old players will want to return but new players may not be aware of all the problems the server used to have.

Kunark is definitely a must. Plus something odd is going on. Right now I see 166 on p99, 353 on Hidden Forest (wtf server is that?), 260 EZ Server, 248 PEQ The Grand Creation, 240 Dragon Soul (again, wtf are these two servers?), and 21 r99.

What in the world happened to populations the past week? I've never seen them like this.

Have you tried the pvp server since the latest exp increase? It seems a lot of people don't even realize there was an increase on top of the (100% at Level 1 to 0% at Level 50. (100 - (Level * 2))) bonus. I have dropped in the past few days to check on the pvp server and exp wasn't being discussed.

Regarding the other servers' populations: it's the same as it has always been. Boxing 2-10 accounts will do that. If it was allowed here, there would be like 2000 people online sometimes. From what I've seen, there have been more players on p99 and r99 for the past week than I have seen in the past month. The general population for all eqemu servers should all be improving as there are really no other games to play.
