my understanding is that this is induced pluripotency, not "generation of stem cells". They are very expensive and super touchy to generate and are not truly pluripotent. It's kind of a goofy generation process that reads more like alchemy than science and has a hiiiigh failure rate, which outputs "stemmy" cells not stemcells.
So the paradigm as I understand it has it factually inaccurate to call them "stem cells". Fyi. ^^ I used to work in a lab on limb regeneration and we didn't use IPSCs because of their limitations.
Altho they may be useful in this application. I don't know.
Yes do tell more. My knahledge is old. If we can generate true stem cells it is a huge breakthrough I'm not up on.
