I believe in stopping people from having babies and forcing people to meet certain _minimum_ standards to be allowed to live, if we have the power to do so, because we are responsible for our species actions.

It's entirely possible to do this in a nice and compassionate way. We don't have to be unnecessarily cruel or "kick the strays" because we can and they disgust us. We can be gentle about it. In fact, those who would "kick the strays" are at the top of the kill order.

I'm not entirely sure we can do this through any particular form of governance. I believe this needs to be a behavioral and cultural feature of ourselves and our peers, meaning we need to nurture this side of ourselves via selective reinforcement and peer pressure.

That is until the machines can do it for us.
