I used to like the recycle/green99 idea that was being bandied about. Make a new server and have it fold into the old server at the end of a standard Velious timeline. Like when Luclin was "about to be released" on the new server, fold green into blue.

But when I think about how it would either turn blue into a ghost town for the duration, or split the population into two lowish pop servers, it makes me kinda sad.

I love blue just as it is. It's a snapshot in time. That's a large part of its charm. I really want to experience 1999 everquest as well, but not enough to kill blue.

I voted other. Would like to see a classic-esque server but with custom content / quests. Would be fun to see the dev's take on what they would have improved or removed from the game.

I would vote for much faster run speed, better economy control (like removing gem drops, have them all vendor bought), more quest armor / weapons that can eliminate some heavy camping, and some unique raid encounters to really challenge players (maybe even some dynamic encounters that change when you engage the mob... one time may be poison based AoE, another may be summoning multiple pet adds, etc).'

I wouldn't want it to be a WoW clone or anything, but something in between.

Everyone wants something different, but if it were up to me, I would add Shared Bank and The Bazaar ASAP.

Luclin and/or a new blue server starting from the beginning of the timeline.

Luclin and PoP will never happen on here but they were the best expansions in the game. Its one of the major reasons I quit. AAs just improved the game so much.

I used to think i wanted this, but honestly I am already sick of the TLP because the raid mobs are so easy to kill and so accessible. The reason we all love EQ (like it or not) is because its exclusive and thrives on a community of elitist. On P99 if NToV was being cleared 10+ times per week...server would be dead within 6 months.

Kunark's only redeeming quality was epics.

The dungeons are inferior to classic dungeons. The open zones are too large and empty. The port options are absolutely horrible. Likewise the melee bind choices are weak. Iksars were cool though.

Velious tried to factor faction in more, which was a good choice, ally up. But they made some critical failures. The depth of the Dwarf city far exceeds that of Kael and Skyshrine in terms of trade skills, quests and general functionality. NToV killing dragon faction is dumb, they're evil dragons, they should only be on their own faction. The hero factions should have more purpose beyond just city leader quests. Melee were far too powerful in relation to casters in this expansion. Almost no caster upgrades in Velious other than bane nukes.

I'd favor OoW or GoD after it was patched up over those two as 3rd place behind Luclin and of course PoP, the hands down best.
