Yes. So is account trading.

Before, you used to be able to buy an account (with in-game plat or items) that had a pre-nerf guise on it. I personally bought my troll guised SK account this way (paid 400k) before they banned this ability.

It actually sucks because a couple of bad seeds ruined that experience for everyone. I actually sold and traded accounts and even did deals up to 800k before Rogean banned it. I understand why he did. There was some really highly sensitive deals going on. On my higher end ones we would always communicate on the phone (one deal took me 2 hours to do).

Even if cross server trading were "banned" people will do it anyways.

People underestimate a. how difficult untwinked EQ actually is and b. how much more valuable gear will be vs. coin. The economy of Blue EQ is so inflated who really cares if someone pays 10 million PP blue for a Green Manastone. That doesn't directly affect the physical amount of plat or available gear on Green. Also, does anyone think the neckbeard who successfully farms a Manastone on Green early on has -any- use for -any- amount of Blue plat?

There will be no amount of money or gear in Green currency that will have someone part with a Manastone for the first several months of the server. The /list will help greatly in reducing EC tunnel fat cat speculation, there's no need to make it nodrop.

Bottom line is the nerds who end up farming the $ gear on Green will really have "earned" it. Naked EQ is not easy and there will be no twinks or powerlevels. There won't be parked toons in every zone and there won't be any ports or rez. For a long time top gear on Green will be worn by toons and gear-for-gear trades will be way better than gear-for-plat.

Most players on Blue can't survive LGuk with twink toons, nevermind warriors with Langseaxes and casters in Gossamer. /list will be plenty to put a tremendous dent in nerds bogarting all the $ drops. From the way people are talking about Green and the fact that most Blue players at this point have never actually leveled a toon in EQ there won't even be that many people able to farm gear in the first place.

I'm guessing the /list mechanic will only be in effect for Manastone, guise, and jboots til it's moved. Everything else will likely follow the current policy on blue. Just speculation

Might be for Rubicite BP also

Cross server trading is a great way to get flagged for RMT. They banned it so they could do simple db queries like "who's getting a fungi from a complete stranger for nothing in return?".

Don't even try it.

high end players routinely trade items worth five or ten times a fungi between each other for nothing

Blue had literal years of allowing people to camp for gear that lasted a very small amount of that time in real life, and prices still got ridiculous. Still are ridiculous.

There's no solution for anything and everyone is awful, good night.
