Yeah an VP isn't suppose to be out for 6 months. Progression server maybe, something trying to approximate a timeline of classic Everquest, not a chance. Going into Velious with 8 months of VP.....yeah that's classic.

This was not the wholesale replacement of quest rewards with new items. You are assuming too much from "had their stats tweaked". Going from a Spiroc Healer's Cloak to the Dark Cloak of the Sky is not having its "stats tweaked". It is more in line with "quests had their rewards modified" from the March 2001 post I quoted.
Show us proof of these pre and post stat changes on the original Sky items, someone must have mentioned their items changing stats.
