My favorite is Hendrick's gin and any decent tonic. Protip: Swap out the lime wedge for a cucumber slice. |

To each, their own. |
Dark n' Stormys are super delicious.
* 2 ounces dark rum * 3 ounces ginger beer * 1/2 ounce lime juice |
The only straight up liqour I truly appreciate is Hendricks Gin. Everything else needs to be mixed or taken as a shot. That said, Hendricks gin with a few thin slices of cucumber(yes cucumber), and a splash of tonic, on the rocks is the ultimate drink for just kicking back.

Bourbon: Eagle Rare 10yr is the best thing you can get under $35/bottle imo. Any of the buffalo trace antiquities collections (George T Stagg, William larue weller, etc) are all amazing if you want to spend some cash, as is pappy van winkle 15yr if you can find it.
Single malt: Aberlour a'bunadh is my favorite here. I like speyside malts with relatively low peatiness. Preferably something finished in sherry barrels. I also have a thing for Glenlivet Nadurra because it tastes so clean. I've never found a good cheap scotch. The cheapest thing i'll drink here is macallan 10 or 12. Blended: Crown XR if you're dropping dough. Fourty Creek is good for the cheap stuff Irish: Bushmills black is my favorite of the "cheaper" irish whiskies that i've tried, but I tend to pick another beverage if i have the choice. |
