If you really want the tier of dwarf cultural armor that has wisdom, then you should worship Brell Serilis.

If you don't care, worship anyone. The next tier down of cultural dwarf armor only loses wisdom, all other stats are the same:

Note that the use of SHD on the Enchanted version was later in the game when gnomes could be shadowknights. This is not the case on p99.

Halfling, easily. Dwarves only have a small stat advantage and barrel roll...Halflings have exp bonus, sneak and hide.

If you would be happier playing a dwarf for cosmetic reasons, more power to you.
