Ding ding ding. Like I said, if you're lazy - i.e. soloing one mob at a time in a fairly safe location - JBB is handy. If you're playing as well as you should be, it's not.

While leveling up my Shaman, I did a lot here and there in KC root rotting 4-10 mobs at once. But good luck trying to do that every night you log into the most populated zone in all of P99. You won't be root rotting like that as successfully in Seb/HS, that's for sure. I still use JBB all the time @ 60 when farming named mobs like Heiro and such. Still one of the most useful clickies in Kunark, period.

you guys don't have to believe the iksar shaman contingent around here. just wait till velious. Everyone gonna be mad as hell they aren't a secksy iksar shaman.

Iksar shaman will also be able to solo (if their AC is working correctly), mobs that hit harder than any other shaman race come Velious.

That said, A barb can put out 33 + ~17 dps using hammer and slowing themselves + hammer melee dps. Sustained indefinitely.

If you're soloing a mob that summons and time is of any importance, you're not going to beat that any other way.

If you're in a group and need to maximize your dps, you're not going to beat it with just epic.

Yes if you're soloing 5 mobs, you're better off just letting epic tick, but that's slow, not good vs mobs with high MR, and not best for single targets.

If you're only root rotting as a 60 shaman you're the one not playing your class to the most of its abilities.
