not to mention There are many times I've 1v1'd melee vs melee and I usually get 4 rounds in for every 1 round they get in. When it happens over and over and over its skill not luck.

this made me crack up... oh wait i thought it said russian roulette and near-miss[1].

to OP... while your message is well meaning and perhaps spot-on... I am afraid this would simply lead to more unstable LARPers out in public, in your neighborhoods and shooting fireballs at/near your residence...

Hey, I think LARP could be pretty cool, just not in the way it would be done if EQ was Dark City Recalled.

everquest does not cause these issues, the game just retains the players that have them

like you for example

pve is heavily chance related pvp does require more skill than chance imo.

eq skill = knowledge of game, critical thinking skills, reaction speed, human psychology knowledge, precise mouse and keyboard strokes.

its not very different from a FPS

take it from a guy with a very high KDR

PvP is more about preparation and being opportunist. You rarely get a fair fight, but I do admit I creamed many Empire noobs geared to the teeth with my 400 ping to the point of salty tears and petitionquest.

These forums also have long term side effects. The amount of self back padding leads to chronic elbow fatigue (CEB). Be advised.
