Turned off texture caching after reading this and It made my problem much worse, went form crashing every few zones to crashing at char select almost everytime i logged in

Crashing out like a madman as of tonight. Have tried all eqemu's multi core fixes so far, aside from external apps figuring that might be it, still having no luck.

I'm having a problem zoning into EC from Nek. I'll trouble shoot tomorrow since Im running out the door now.

Crashing during the zoning process is classic EQ... Ha!

SO I think I am getting this on a regular basis. Started the first time when I tried to zone into NFP at one point and what happened is the game just never left the loading screen. Ctrl-Alt-Deleted and tried logging in again and got passed the character select screen but couldn't actually zone into the game. Tried this a couple of times and got frustrated and just left it on the loading screen and made myself some food. Lo and behold when I came back after like 20 mins I had finished logging in. Zoned back with no problem, but 5 mins later when I tried to zone back into NFP again it did the same thing. I didn't feel like waiting 20 mins for each zone so I just logged off. Came back the next day and no problems whatsoever (had shut down my computer overnight). I seem to get the same problem on a regular basis now and what seems to be causing it is being logged into hulu and in the process of watching a video (even if it is paused). It also happens when someone else on the network is watching too so I am thinking it is a port issue in the gateway. Let me know if anyone else can confirm that this seems to be what is causing it.

made sure all the computers on the network were not in the process of watching a video and still got a crash on zone now...No idea what is causing this anymore...

I had never ran into this issue until last night where it happened two zones in a row. None of my settings have been changed.

I get this problem constantly as well. When it happens it takes me sometimes 15+ tries to get back into the game. It becomes very annoying quickly.

I had been zoning in and out of Ferrott and Oggok all morning with no problems. Decided to head to Innothule Swamp for a change of scenery and hung on zone.
