like, this wasn't the event, tho. this was an emergency something shoved together as it happened.

real event will come later. or it won't, who knows? but yeah there's not really anything to learn from this event, since it wasn't the event anyone wanted/had planned/etc.

This is why GMs don't do events.

Yep. Of course people are disappointed with the event, and I'm sure it was miles away from what it could have been had the staff not been dealing with IRL emergencies. And that is 100% understandable. I think they did a good job under the circumstances putting something together.

I don't know if the real event will come later, but I really hope so. 10th Anniversary is a huge milestone and deserves an event worthy of that title.

I showed up on a character that already has a guise, shouldn't I be outraged?

Realistically it was nice seeing the community get together for something. Crashes/etc were expected and did not disappoint. Nice way to goof off for a couple hours and bring the community together a bit. Got to hang around with some old friends I hadn't seen in awhile.

I wanted to be there, but I am normally in bed by 9-9:30pm during the week...

MMO players' brains are broken to the extent where they cannot do anything 'just for fun', there needs to be some kind of benefit or reward.
