Drakkel Wolf Whisker - Great Divide - Coldain Shawl 6
 

To compliment my recent statistics on killing 100 "A Young Shardwurm" , today I killed 100 "A Drakkel Dire Wolf" in the Great Divide.

They should drop Drakkel Wolf Whisker which is a quest piece for the 6th (Blessed) Coldain Prayer Shawl.

During this time I spawned and killed 3 of the named Drakkel Blood Wolf

It dropped 1 Low Quality Hide and a Blood Wolf Harness on the first kill, and then only BWH's on the following two kills.
All three were the common belt and not the Crested Blood Wolf Harness.

Two Drakkel Wolves dropped a LQ Hide and Black Steel Wrap on the same kill.

One Drakkel Wolf dropped a LQ Hide and the solitary Spiked Steel Wrap I got was on the same kill.

I believe that Drakkel Wolf Whisker is also bugged and that none of the required pieces for the Coldain Prayer Shawls are dropping in Great Divide.

What's that a 0.6% chance to not get a single whisker through 100 trials. That's some really bad luck.

Also something I and others in the comments on this item, will distinctly remember is these (and all items with this item icon), are EXTREMELY hard to see on a corpse. Especially if it's night time and you're using the Velious UI.

Killed a bunch of Drakkel Wolves for their Whiskers today but still didn't see any.

I've killed more wolves here and there, still no Whiskers.

Not dropping... Talked to several people.. No one has seen them... I know they were there on Beta but I've spoken to a few people that have killed 100 or so and not seen a single whisker drop... I've killed at least 50.. Nothing... Thanks!

Hi Devs, may we get this checked on please? I totally understand that it is purely RNG< but having several threads about this may be on to something. I farmed them for 3-4 hours last night in GD, but I did not see a single one. Thank you.

Also have killed a few and been asking all over and no one seems to be seeing any Drakkel Dire Wolf Whiskers dropping.

Ok, there seems to be a timeline rule set on these to not drop until May 2001, with a note indicating that is the date you could advance past the 5th shawl.

Anyone know more about that? Could you obtain the 6th shawl prior to then?
