It cost a lot in regents to kill him, Almost not worth the attempt. Plus its funny seeing yellow text from people not faction-ed.

Sontalak costs 50k-150k in Worts/Reapers/Mallet recharges and he's extremely hard, able to wipe 100+ people easily. He generally drops 1 meaningful item, a sleepers key, which is a lot less valuable now adays with the Warders gone forever. There is line for primals so rushing for an extra key is not efficient.

If they ever make Sontalak a bit more realistic of classic, I'm sure he will die quite often.

Hoku can solo him. I've seen it.

He's probably just busy.

Because he isn't classic.

Video evidence from 2001 shows a raid fighting him and the AE firing like clockwork every 12 seconds.

However somehow someone convinced the devs the AE should be a proc, rather than just a single target proc on the tank.

Due to this, in conjunction with non-classic AE Fear resist check on the Sontalak AE, the fight is nothing like classic. But I'm sure you know this.
