p99 is in museum mode and most of the players are long gone. the only thing left are a few circles of people who still raid. if you do decide to continue please keep in mind you will take a backseat to longstanding members alts for loot

A couple things to note. First off, these forums have a certain ... character to them. The game itself has a markedly different character to it, so don't let the forums intimidate you (some of the worst posters here don't even play anymore, they just hang around and spread negativity).

Second, be sure to check out the wiki. It's our version of Allakhazam, all of the class sites, EQ Traders, EQ Atlas, etc. It also includes a Magelo feature (a way to profile your character outside the game, or see the profiles of other characters to get gearing ideas), an auction tracker (which gives you a rough idea about how much it will cost to buy something from another player), and tons of helpful guides.

So again, welcome (back) to Norath and the amazing (and addictive) game of classic EverQuest!

I saw a half-naked level 30-something halfing druid in Rivervale last night. I asked if he could use a pair of GEBs, opened a trade window and offered them to him. He responded "Only if you can absolutely part with them" before he would accept. Some quality people on p99.

seems like a real lovely welcome. As someone returning to this game for the first time in 24 years, thats quite discouraging. Was hoping the game would at least be active enough to find some groups, but im only level 10.

i cant remember what guilds i was in because its been so long. its fucking scary to think how fast 12 or 13 years went by

There's a bunch of people who are bouncing between here and Project Quarm. If I can't find a group for whatever I'm doing I'll try the other side :)
