Armored Grizzly Vs. Battleaxe Wielding Silverback
 

OK OK, fine. NotInventedHere TOTALLY RUINED my last Vs. thread, so let's make it more even.

Assume the Silverback was REALLY MAD at the Grizzly (perhaps the Grizzly tuk his jawbs?), and that he knew how to use the battleaxes (yes, dual wielding 2 2HS). Assume the Grizzly is armored in platemail, like the polar bears in The Golden Compass.

Um, the movie Congo really scared me as a kid so I'm going to go with the silverback.

Well, if he knows how to use the battleaxes, then it's no question for the gorilla.

What are the stats on the armor?
And what's the damage/delay ratio on the battle axe?

Assume it's a Lustrous Russet Bracerstplate, and 2 Executioner Axes.

This fight goes to the Grizzly bear, and it is not even close.

The Grizzly is bigger, faster, and stronger...and armored.

The Silverback is.....smarter I guess, and has 2 axes.


The Silverback gets 1 shot to land a killing blow with the axes before he is knocked down and mauled to death. While a Silverback could physically hold an axe, it does not have the intelligience needed to understand which way to point the sharp end. Even assuming some sort of super Ape with human level intelligience, and years of watching Conan movies under its belt, Super Ape still is not quick enough or fast enough to escape the infamous Bear Hug Attack!

Okay this just lead me to a whole other slew of questions concerning class, level, etc. which might drive you crazy.

I'll just start with this: Is the bear a cleric by any chance?

Assume they are both level 43 Rangers who spent their creation points on charisma.

In that case the gorilla realizes that he can't wield said axes and has to resort to fists. I will not be alive to see the outcome of this epic battle. :D
