Is blue making a come back?
 

I thought blue was a dead server. I have been used to seeing 300 or less players during peak time. But then this weekend both Saturday and Sunday night during prime time evening hours the numbers looked like this:

Green = 650
Teal = 550
Blue = 500

I couldn't believe blue was over 500 and close to teal numbers. I might have to log back into blue and dust off my paladin and ranger :D

This was predicted by many. Blue is the greatest creation of the p99 staff.

People said I’m leaving blue to get away from all those toxic people. Little did they know all those toxic people came to green/teal.

The same thing always happens when the new live TLP's come along, people come back when they get bored waiting for the next expansion.

When people realized they needed to play for 36 hrs straight to get a manastone and that doing "it all again" for the gear grind they already did on blue they seem to be hopping back on blue (home).

Their fungi twink monk suddenly feels alot better to play then their cloth wearing fine steel clubbin monk on teal.

Population thinning was the best result from this...a classic/velious/Kunark server is best around 600-800 players at peak.

to be honest, i've not seen much toxicity at all on Teal(once you get over the early fight for Orc scouts and Decaying Skeletons haha)

This pretty much sums up why Blue isn't going anywhere.

Weekends are repop times right now for raiding, on top of being...weekends. So its a little of both probably but I think green/teals numbers are thinning at the same time a smattering of people are logging back on to blue for batphones and scheduled casual raids now that they are hitting 50 or close to it on the new servers. Not sure if a comeback is the right word but will be interesting to monitor as time goes on, and as fear/hate release for green/teal.

1220 people playing fresh EQ and 394 on Blue. Green getting divided into 2 servers is making blue look bigger than it is.

Saturday and Sunday was also 7 day cycle repop windows.

But still, Blue is far from dead...and in my humblest of opinions, better now thanks to Green / Teal. Most of the pricks, aspies, etc are gone to what they feel are greener pastures. Good riddance I say.
