I regret giving them a view. That was a terrible article. Out-of-era EQ picture, no mention of the LONG history of Project 1999 and years of work by the staff (and some players) to reach this point, the existence of blue (or red, lol), quotes from excited players looking forward to the launch, etc.

They didn't need to write a "this'll be so amazing, you have to play it!" article, but not AT LEAST mentioning how blue has been running for a decade as a work in progress while dedicated staff and other volunteers worked to reverse engineer the classic mechanics makes it a shit piece of writing.

Should write a quick press release about the launch and pay like $10 and release the press release on a news wire. News organizations have a chance to pick it up. If you are lucky might even get it in Google News.

I thought it was a great article considering the state of journalism today. While some details were omitted, the author didn't get any major issues wrong and spared us a long and winding diatribe on how The Dark Men of Odus are continuously oppressed and the lack of diversity and rampant anti-Ogre racism in The Third Gate.

IMHO we have all the publicity we need. Lets see how crowded shit gets before we're sending out news releases :)
