Double stun proc weps on monk
 

Is it as good for soloing as it would seem? I.e. is the proc rate pretty good?

Also related question: do Adamantite Club, Sarnak Warhammer and Baton of Royal Stature all have the same proc rate?

If you have 255 dex you will see on average 3 stuns per minute. They may be sufficiently spaced out that you could see 18 seconds of mob being stunned per minute or get the procs so randomly close that you average 10 seconds a minute. If your dexterity is lower, proc rate falls.

Is it worth it? Possibly. ADA has a solid ratio. Baton isn’t really bad but it’s an inferior ratio to other monk specific weapons out there. If you sacrifice a lot of dps in the procs you could end up taking more total damage than you would with something like an IFS. I imagine the offhand stun proc wouldn’t make up for the dps lost on using a stave of shielding (17/28) offhand. The kill time would be longer so it really boils down to just how much damage you avoid with an offhand proc.

With very high dex there’s a case to be made. Since you’re talking solo ... I’m assuming you’re not going to be rolling with dex/focus stack and you don’t have the gear base (ToV raid) that has you running around with 200+ dex unbuffed.

Killing faster is better. If a better ratio saves you 20 seconds of time, besides 20 seconds less damage, thats earlier you can start to regen, and overall more kills / time.

Relying on procs for anything is a fools errand, and it is NEVER as good as it may seem on paper. Get the best ratio weapons you can afford and have a hay day. As a monk you want to maximize DPS and pretty much forget about procs.

Here's a question, SoS or AC in the offhand while soloing when you have your epic? At 150ish dex, you're getting around 0.75 PPM, right? So that's around 8% damage mitigation. It also does about 0.8 DPS too!

Pre-epic, AC in the primary has a significant affect on how much damage you take.

What is the DPS increase of the epic/SoS over AC/SoS at level 55+ anyhow?

Every weapon in the game has the exact same proc rate.

Do weapons even proc in the off hand? I thought they had to be in the main hand to proc.
