Haste/slow and special attacks
 

TLDR of thread through 5 posts: worn haste does not seem to be affecting the cooldown of my flying kick.


So how does this work?

My 34 monk seems to have a 9-second cooldown on flying kick, regardless of whether I have my RBG equipped or not. I haven't paid close attention to when I have spell haste (instead of just worn haste), but when I was just slowed by a goblin a minute ago I'm QUITE sure that flying kick was taking much longer than 9 seconds to come off cooldown.

Both Item Haste and Spell Haste affect special attack cool downs.

I think all special attack's have a base reuse time of 9 seconds.

With an RBG equipped (27% haste) the cooldown reduction is pretty low.

No Haste - 9.0 seconds

RBG (27% Haste) - 7.0866 seconds

Max Haste (100%) - 4.5 seconds

My observations of flying kick's cooldown earlier today weren't exactly the kind that I would want to publish in a scientific journal, but I'm pretty god damned sure I'd have been able to tell the different between 7- and 9-second cooldowns when I was stopwatching things.

I will do multiple-minute logs here in a second of me doing nothing but flying kicking at every opportunity with RBG equipped, and then without RBG equipped, but I'm already 95% sure that MY RBG wasn't lowering the CD on flying kick.

Kicking poor Guard Dister nearly to death just now, on level 34 monk with RBG equpped, with anywhere from 80 to 90 ms latency, spamming flying kick button every time it was about to come off cooldown, and without any stuns from Dister delaying any of my kicks:

Perhaps item haste isn't affecting special attack cool downs.

Can you parse one with Spell haste and RBG unequipped?

30 chanter just zoned into highkeep, so gonna get a haste.

Earlier today with RBG equipped, when I got slowed by a shaman NPC my cooldown was definitely lengthened.
