The same year I discovered Everquest
 

The year is 1999 and little baler is released upon the internet, EverQuest and Ultima Online 24/7. But what's this, something different and unusual, a video?

This video scarred me and left me thinking for years. It may mean nothing to you now. The year 2021 when something like this leaves no lasting impression. Try to put yourself into the shoes of someone in 1999 when wide spread video sharing wasn't a thing.



I'm still unsure why this video left such an impression upon me.

That's heavy! He used the light inside him to break away from oppression only to realize he lost the light inside of him once he became the very thing he tried to escape from. Then the cycle continues at the end of the video. That was super cool thanks for sharing!

1999 was such a big year.

- Nobody knew what 2000 would bring. Like, a whole new millenia? Holy crap. Also 2000 bug.
- EQ came out - the best MMORPG of all times
- Quake3 came out - the best FPS of all times

1999 = EQ and the quake 3 arena demo. Epic times (especially when you're 14)

It could only be shocking or like weird if it changes. It never changed though

the matrix, counterstrike too. and the final original movies before sequelization, all the movies from that era. come to think of it, 1999 is exactly the era everyone is bottling and distilling just like tha matricks said.
