Blessed Coldain Prayer Shawl
 

I'd like to know the devs' plans for the inclusion of this quest. With the quests' original inception with Velious, the last step wasn't complete. It wasn't implemented until late Velious or Luclin, and I can't remember which it was (can't find the patch notes either). Yes, this is important now, because I'd rather put in the tradeskill sooner than later especially when there's less to do in classic. Especially since in Velious this is one of the very best items in the entire game, the amount of power it adds to a shaman is especially huge.

I had my 7th prayer shawl in velious.

The 8th one didn't come around until Luclin and boasts a focus effect of mana regeneration 3 + 20% buff duration. Nothing else, afaik, has effects like this. OP and shouldn't be included.

Luclin was released in December 2001.. and I think this was sometime between January 2002-Summer 2002. Anyone have specifics?


p.s. I fucking miss that Persona button. It was like having a second inventory button to use.

Thanks, Nilbog. I was thinking it was Luclin too, but was holding out for the hope that it was late Velious. ;)

Pretty sure the 8th shawl was in the game, but the focus effect was added in Luclin, just like they added a focus effect to a BIM or any another item.

Well the Blessed Coldain Prayer Shawl was initially put into Lucy on 2002-12-27 if that is of any importance.

And just as I said... it doesn't have the focus effect in that lucy entry. I'm pretty sure that the ring and 8th shawl quests were all in at Velious.

Well Luclin was released Dec 01, so a Dec 02 addition to Lucy doesn't sound good. To add to that, beastlord is listed as a usable class on that link. And Vah Shir a usable race.

Let's go ahead and dispute the Coldain Ring quest too while we're at it?

Well, that Lucy info must not be the end all as I found some patch notes that indicate that it was in before the Lucy entry.

Seeing as how there were adjustments made to the quest on may 8th 2002 (nearly half a year after Luclin release) leads me to think that this was a luclin item.

Edit: So anyway, I am just commenting on this stuff because I am bored at work. but seriously does this even matter? None of the Coldain stuff is up until Velious right? We aren't even close to Kunark being opened.

Someone look up that ring! regen is too op!
