Careful what you wish for. Most big guilds are like 10 core people bamboozling a bunch of warmbodies to get them the loot they want. No matter how much dkp you earn most guilds will have members who get pissed off if you bid on something over a more neckbeardy senior member if it's something he wanted and you don't sit at the cool kids table. It's just a miserable experience honestly.

Yes absolutely, that's why I'm saying it to this person who wants to join one of these guilds. Be prepared to be in game 24\7 or share your account if you want the best loot. That's the nature of classic raiding; be really miserable most of the time but when you do get something it feels so good.

Or join a guild that gets loot and churns dkp so there isn’t anyone with “years” of dkp and it’s rather measured in weeks

most of the high end raiding guilds get loots so dkp is always flowing. The problem is the big guilds killing one mob with one loot with 500 peeps

Nah you can get loot. Just do scepter camp and +add yourself to every raid.
