Armor is fun and I like collecting it but I wouldn't worry about it much as a Necro. You could level effectively naked as a Necro if needed.

If you feel like investing some time into it you could level up tailoring and build yourself a set of https://wiki.project1999.com/Raw_Silk_Armor to fill in all your slots. The Iksar starting zone has a cave full of spiders that are perfect for doing this.

Armor isn't really that important for a necro as stated, you are a caster so its really your utility and effectiveness killing mobs that matters. I personally haven't mained a necro so not so much help specifically on this class but each class has a handful of key usefulness items whether its stats, procs, or clickable effects. I would read the Necromancer page on the wiki and search for necromancer gearing or twinking guids. I'm sure there are plenty of them.

After a quick search on google I came accross this page https://wiki.project1999.com/Equipping_a_Necromancer. Seems like a pretty useful refernce

Cloth and bristlesilk are available to purchase from NPCs in Cabilis. In the newbie zones you can buy patch hide armour.

Survival staves also purchased in newbie zones look super cool. Pop a Frogskin shield and rusty shantok on your pet if you wanna look Boss.

The cave is actually spiderlings with spiderling silk, used to make leather padding.

But all the spiders in the pit drop silk, should be able to get full set of raw silk by level 10 or so solo.

Better off farming plat and buying cheap stuff in the tunnel.

https://wiki.project1999.com/Necroma...kullcap_Quests - Decent Necromancer starting skullcap - takes a bit of effort to get, but is a fun quest for a necro. Fun to do quests in Kunark like this.

https://wiki.project1999.com/The_Skull_of_Torture - Very easy quest to do in Kurn's tower. Hard part is finding the skeletal cook when he's up. He's in the basement and non-KoS and you just turn a Glowing Skull into him for reward.

https://wiki.project1999.com/Raw_Silk_Armor_Set - As others have said, Tailoring is very easy for Iksar to level because of all the spiders in field of bone. It's very easy to make a set of Raw Silk for iksar necro.

Save up your plat for spells (the most powerful necro Armor is fear + snare + lifetap)

Shopping List for EC Tunnel:

1) Research Spells if you can't make them yourself.

2)https://wiki.project1999.com/Harvester - INT + See Invis + Awesome Look

3) and you can definitely find some https://wiki.project1999.com/Loam_Encrusted_Armor_Set on the cheap (Robe isn't cheap - Pants are a few hundred plat)
