Maining pure melee?
Pulling and positioning mobs so the rogues/pets don't have to move from their spots kinda keeps you busy. Also, without having to manage mana/spells makes it easier for pure melees to lead groups, find replacements and better sense the 'bigger picture' of whats happening in the group. When playing some casters I find it too absorbing and I find it difficult to fully appreciate everything that is happening around me. I probably have a case of the dumbs though. Back on topic, I often find myself attempting to instaclick refresh my spell bar on alts with no instaclick. |
I main a cleric. Out of habit, I find myself sitting anytime I'm not pulling/fighting on my monk or my rogue with full hit points. They still haven't regened any mana from this.

spells - ( I play WIS usually, only INT is chanter)
1 - always a root of some kind 2 - always a nuke of some kind 3 - always a dot or a swap slot 4 - always snare or slow or stun or other debuff 5 - always a heal (wis caster), or charm (int caster) 6 - always a mezz or stun, or utility (fast expiring buff) 7 - always sow or haste or other speed related buff 8 - always gate or other gtfo, or thorns or other offensive buff This lets my habits work out ok most of the time, even if I spazz out. |

Charming on my necro is crippling because I have the instant stun reflex so hard coded in my head from playing my enchanter. I have stun bound to my 2nd slot and I press Alt+2 faster than anyone one on a charm break even though spell #2 on my necro is lifetap.
When I use a melee I sit between pulls, and I also always turn ever so slightly anytime I stand up since I don't wanna interrupt those melee spells by accident ... |
