Ancient Breath - Should be Magic Based
 

Currently Ancient Breath is disease based and can be removed via cures.

There is evidence via the old spell files and later posts indicating that Vulak's AE was changed to disease based later in the timeline, if not post-Luclin. At least for the time being, Ancient Breath should be magic based and not disease until we can pinpoint a change date.

Also, recast delay may need to be reexamined. Along with the attack speed reduction, on live AB is currently 40%, the old SPdat supports 60% reduction.

This guild page supports your finding. According to their first/last kill date, the information is from late 2001/early 2002. That would put any change past luclin.

That "Dragon Resistance" line is a -150 resist check, which is classic. Unlike many other AEs that didn't have a resist check in classic, but had one added in Luclin/PoP when the resist system was changed.

Reports indicate this still adds disease counters and can be cured.

i assume it's magic based now because since the update to it, i've been resisting maybe 1 in 10 ancient breaths, whereas before i would resist none.. ever

however, it does not remove with a dispel and it is only able to be removed with cure disease effects, despite being a magic based resist check

Ele can you link the SPdat with a 12 second recast? Or other proof that it should be 12 seconds. I'm looking at the Trilogy client file and it shows 60:
