the 3070 for $499 is better than the 2080 ti which will be 2 years old & was $1,200.
I play on 4k & get like 100 FPS in Warzone with ultra settings. I might upgrade when the new BF game comes out if I don't get at least 60 FPS.
The 3090 looks crazy.....
I can't find a 4k monitor that has higher than 60 hz refresh rate for gaming under $800 that's 27" or bigger. IDK why they are even talking about 8k gaming when 4k isn't close to be the standard with monitors yet.

I ended up going with a sapphire pulse 5600xt for $285 bucks and it suits me fine. Sounds like you have a killer setup though.
To me, 4K isn’t so necessary, 2560x1440 with minimum 120hz is all I could ever need. I don’t really notice the difference between 4K and 2560x1440 unless it’s on a much larger screen. I do however notice the difference between 60hz and 120hz.
Technology moves so damn fast, it’s difficult to not have components be outperformed by newer cheaper models within a couple month span. So I hear what you are saying, and the funny thing is, everything will just keep getting faster and faster and cheaper and cheaper. Hell I remember my dad paying a couple hundred dollars for a stick of 8mb ram back in the day. Now you can buy 16gb for like 40 bucks.
