I apologize if this has been asked in the past but can you buy research training past 50? I have been unable to find a necro GM that can train it higher.

The bird dude in freeport can train enchanters above 100. I assume someone can for necros. I, unfortunately cannot name who.

It would surprise me if you couldn't find someone in Neriak or Paineel. I could see them doing that too, since there are certain summoning spells for Mages that are only available in Neriak or Erudin.

You can train it at a GM in most citys. Though only 5 points above your level cap at a time.

(Pro tip; buy the spells you need and save your training points for another tradeskill once veilous arrives)
