Smithing Fine Plate
 

Is blacksmithing worth it right now? Especially now that we can make Fine Plate (finally)? I'm at 180 Blacksmithing and wondering when I can start to make some real money lol

Fine plate weighs quite a lot.
The big advertisement for smithing armour has been banded at 1p per ac.

Most tradeskills are a plat sink to be honest. Done for quests or cultural.
Being able to craft gear for your alts is cool.
Cultural can turn a profit but it's a lot of time investment, some people enjoy this while others hate it.

What race/deity are you?

I'm a High Elf / Tunare Paladin. So I guess I can make Koada'dal / Mithril armor. I'm at 185 Blacksmithing atm so just practising on Fine Plate.

Would really like to be a HIE cultural blacksmith

just get one or two medicine pouches .4 weight, and ur good to go for adventure, fine plate it the best u can wear so u dont need anything else

There is no reason to wear any armor you can't customize period . :cool:

Ornate Chain Is Better Than bAnDEd.!

I farmed some dyes and paid someone about 600p plus tips per visible plate set. Make some dyed plate armor and you can probably get some pretty fantastic markups from people with willingness to buy for fashion quest.

fine plate will ezily get any war/pal/sk into the 40's

so its a good budget investment if ur just gonna do the tradeskills/farming urself and u want something u dont ahve to spend 2900 hrs camping at some strange spawn for only 1 hr a day for 6 months

That's a fantastic idea, I'll be Green's official Fashionquest blacksmith :) are the dyes hard to get? I'm excited to do this as I've never seen anyone selling Fine Plate, let alone dyed FP in tunnel.
