Hey all,

Loaded up the Titanium and followed the instructions to set up for 1999.

Everything installed fine...

I changed login server to this
[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

I added this to as instructed... doesnt patchme force a patch?

"C:\Program Files\Everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme


I started the game and it patched..which I think its not sopposed to do... it automatically connected and downloaded the patches. How do I start EQ and not patch?

When I go to login it seems to be taking me to the Sony login screen...maybe because it patched?

Any help would be great

The "patchme" argument (oddly enough) tells EQ NOT to try to download the latest patches. Are you sure you didn't make a minor mistake like accidently leaving the executable still pointed to Everquest.exe and simply added patchme afterwards? I have to confess I nearly made that mistake when I first re-installed EQ a few weeks ago, but was able to kill Launchpad before it did anything.

so before launching executable put the patchme argument..ill make sure I do it in that order....try again

There should be no patch. You should launch from your icon and it'll pop up with the EULA screen immediately, click click Login screen. It'll look the same as the legit EQ screen. Log in with your EQEmu login, you'll see a list of EQEmu servers.

Hrmmm reloaded the game

did everything in order...I launched the EQ exeutable and a little box loaded and said it was updating...so I think somehow its pointing to the SONY server?? i end up with the sony login screen and my EQEMULATOR login doesnt work.

anyways..this is anoying..

OMG im sooo stupid..

finally got it....my stupid mistake was...

Using EVERQUEST.EXE vs EQGAME.EXE

EVERQUEST.EXE is the shortcut place on the desktop during installation...I assumed that was the executable....

all in the details..

Naw I played on Tholuxe Paells, which eventually merged to Bertox.

Branaddar was a random-generated name because my friend (who got me into EQ) got all impatient as I sat pondering names, clicked "Random" then "Accept" before I could object :P
