Wu's Fist of Mastery question
 

I still need the Brass Knuckles to complete the Wu's Fist of Mastery sky quest but based on the monk DPS chart i'm wondering if Mainhanding Wu's Fist and offhand SOS would be better DPS than doing epic/wu's (offhand). Anyone have any insight on this?

Assuming primary hand damage bonus of 11 at level 60:

Wu/SoS: ((16*2)+11)/22 + 0.78(17*2)/28 = 2.902

Epic/Wu: 0.9728((9*2)+11)/16 + 0.78(16*2)/22 = 2.898

Wu/SoS is a < 0.2 % increase over Epic/Wu... use whatever you like... it is totally inconsequential DPS wise.

However if you are trying to stun casters, Epic/Wu is probably better because you will be getting way more attacks/push per second. Weight of SoS also something to keep in mind. Personally I would just go epic/wu.

Now if you can get 2 wu fist... Wu/Wu: ((16*2)+11)/22 + 0.78(16*2)/22 = 3.089

Wu/Wu is a 6.6 % increase over Epic/Wu... a bit more significant but nothing crazy... but about the same (6.9%) increase you get from moving from Epic/SoS (2.709) to Epic/Wu.

This isn't a p99 gripe, I know it's classic and I love that, but, that H2H skill for monks is lower than blunt weps has always annoyed the shit out of me.

Do you just do the Sky quest twice to get two of the Wu's Fists?

If you really want to dig deep and be more confused, against high end velious bosses with stupid AC and you hitting minimal most of the time, the bonus from (slightly) faster weapons is even more pronounced and you cant just look at the ratio.

Yeah, lots of the above responses I agree with. There seems to be a better pronounced DPS result with lower delay weapons on high end mobs. The DPS math was PURELY on the spreadsheet you gave.

The numbers are a pretty good rough guide. Min/Max dos is something that you should probably test with empirical data.
