Crafting Professions Questions

Hi folks, started on the quest:

https://wiki.project1999.com/Coldain...r_Shawl_Quests

It requires a lot of trade skills. Looks like a real PITA, especially tailoring. What's the easiest way to raise Tailoring to 206. Any of you guys done it, can you share any tips or recommendations. I'm likely going to stop at part 5 for now, next 2 not till I'm higher level and have more plat to spend on profession raising. However, I'm on part 4 now, and next will work on pottery and then tailoring for 5.

Any advice appreciated. I know this quest is a long quest, not meant to be done quickly, so just pacing myself for the EQ adventure. Thanks in advance.

The Wiki page for each tradeskill honestly has a good guide. It's the combined total of the knowledge of all the users of these forums. I'd suggest reading it first. All of them.

High level tailoring will require blood, sweat and tears.

What kind of Int is needed to get good skill ups? I’m at 150… is that too low? Should I get 200+ first?

most people get their tailoring up to the 160something, i forget the number, and then just redo the Tailoring part of the Shawl multiple times till you get success.

I was unlucky and had to do it 7 times.... but still MUCH less painful than Velious tailoring to get to 200+

Thanks. Do you know of profession guides similar to baking? That one is nice, it says what to make, how much, where. Amount of components. Other guides just have tabular data sheets.

Pottery hands down.

Use the list on the top of the tailoring page on the 1999 Wiki.

Once you get to 158 its difficult, as a halfling I was able to do some cultural to get a few more skillups.

That list is missing a ton of recipes. Is wiki missing it or it’s not in game?

Forest Green Silk Swatch
Woven Mandrake
Many others…

Well we only go up to Velious here on P99, so its pretty much old-school recipes.

Pretty sure Woven Mandrake is part of the Luclin Earing of Solstice quest, and i dont recall any colored silk swatches at Velious.
