Can kicks trigger Riposte?
 

Just a random thought as I'm solo leveling my ranger and mobs are starting to hit hard now -- if kicks can trigger Riposte is it actually not worth it to do a piddly 1-15 kick damage compared to the damage that can come back?

In my very unscientific observations, yes, it can trigger riposte. I've made the same decision, to not kick mobs while face tanking, as a result.

They can riposte but it's still worth it to always kick

Remember, mobs only have a small chance to riposte, riposte doesn't always hit, etc.

Kicking is small damage but it adds up, and if you kill the mob faster, you take less damage

The only time I don't kick is on mobs with a DS because its hurting me more than them 100% of the time. Don't be scurred of riposte, kick away.
