Ring War Discussion

Guild Leadership on the server need to come together and come to a mutually agreed upon arrangement for Ring Wars.

The split second Badain spawn to turn in needed to go (and it's a shame that there wasn't any enforcement from staff in regards to 3rd party programs for those cheaters - er, sorry "people competing"), and now we've got a community roll off for a BiS item...

Ring 10 should be awarded based on merit with whatever system a guild uses that can handle taking on the challenge of Ring War, not a random.
I see you there, TSS, you can put your hand down.

A random amongst guild representatives to determine which entity gets a Ring War would be one such solution if /random is the lazy catch all solution we're sticking with, as it would alleviate a myriad of issues: namely, such a coveted item being distributed amongst guild members who earned it and not someone's 6th acct alt.

For anyone that saves/saved for such an item, this is a slap in the face. Slap in the face to the whole raid community really.

No need to sort 120 rolls in 20s. Or counting who jumped more than twice while swapping crown of rile or other such inane, arbitrary ruling. No more screen staring, click spamming, 3rd party program-faster-than-human-reaction turn ins not being policed.

Of all the possible starting discussion points to run Ring War, community /random should be the absolute last (well, just ahead of the sub-human time click fest that's been running the scene).

Proposal:

Upon Sentry Badain Spawning each present guild/alliance will determine who among those present has gone the longest without a Ring War.

Your rep must be in the hut at the time of spawn, no exceptions. If you are the only one present at or after the time of spawn, congratulations.

A UN discord channel will be created for tracking all ringwar attempts. Eligibility will be based on the information here, failure to disclose ringwar completions are considered bad faith and will result in a 30 days suspension from completing or assisting in ringwars.

The chosen entity will have 30 minutes to complete the initial turn in and begin the Ring War Script. If the chosen entity is unable to muster a force, they are suspended from ringwars for (x) days for causing a delay in the conduct of the ringwar. The next guild who has gone the longest without a ringwar is awarded the ringwar.
If an entity fails after turn in, they will not be allowed to participate for the next (x) days. Failures due to server glitches (e.g. pathing) will not incur a suspension but will reset your completion date. A record of awarded ringwar with a failure due to server issues will be recorded.

Any Guild/Entity that has never completed a Ring War is defaulted the turn in.

Should there be more than one entity who have never completed a ringwar, one representative from each entity will /ran 1000. The highest rolled number is awarded the turn in.

Timers must be posted in the UN tracker channel.

Make ring wars great again

I don’t understand. They already changed all but the first 7 days of the month to a roll-off. How is that not fair? Would you prefer a jury of peers voting on the best EQ based Limerick?

If you don’t like how your specific guild plans to handle this change maybe time to change guilds.

I think op means the person who wins roll has to turn in and get the ring so that eliminates dkp bids

Ohh gotcha, my bad if thats the case.

I just assumed that was baked-in to the change.

Nope, Arvan nailed it. Should be something saved for/earned: DKP. Not a 100 elf roll off against everyone's naggy/vox toon a la Scout roll.

Ring 10 (and all other loot associated with it) should not be a mass /random, with the exception of maybe some rare / one-off server event or some such.

Doesn’t TSS wipe in Kael Arena with 40 people?

Riot wiped to velks less than week ago, in the year 2021 of our lord . After 6 years of velious farming . All guilds can look dumb sometimes , imagine.

make RW an instance and give it a 5 day cooldown for raid forces. it basically is one anyway since it depops the zone and respawns it with special mobs.
