Trump Forced to Walk Back Birtherism

After briefly flirting with the idea of continuing birtherism, Trump finally admitted he thinks Obama was born here.

“It's hard to imagine this as anything other than a political Rick-roll,” CNN anchor Jake Tapper vented on air after Trump’s hotel event. His colleague John King followed up with, “We just got played.”

Only after that extended infomercial did Trump deliver the goods — a speedy statement that Obama was indeed born in the United States, coupled with a blatantly false accusation that Hillary Clinton started the conspiracy to begin with.

The media got punked.

Of course now the Fox line is going to be about how Clinton started it all. In a very vague since, she was the first to question his background (background not birth certificate). Some of her surrogates were more bold -- but she's Hillary Clinton -- she has a lot of surrogates. Not to mention they were mostly in a blind panic because Clinton was unexpectedly losing from some green politician out of no where.

This is the alt right site I came across when looking it up: http://www.dailywire.com/news/9200/h...ont-john-nolte

If you read the facts and ignore the tone, not even this propaganda job says anything truly damning. Clinton fired those caught race-baiting, and never once said a conclusive statement that he wasn't born here or that there was reason to doubt him. They linked a Chris Matthews clip....IDK WTF was going on with Matthews at the time, but I remember in 2008 the guy was a massive Obama fanatic. He made it his personal mission to tear down Clinton as much as possible after Obama's Victory in Iwoa. If you want to see Matthews at his most dishonest -- check out the clip.

Meanwhile Trump's entire presidential bid in 2012 was based on birtherism... But It was cleaver to bring up the Clinton thing. His campaign has obviously put a lot of thought into it.

Edit: I didn't realize they did such an annoying fucking edit job on that clip. It must be something with the mopes that normally read this shit.

It is kinda funny, Trump got a first class troll in and you're in meltdown mode. Actual birthers been silent for years, damage was already done by this potus, he's out soon. HRC was in on it too, just like you said. HRC in meltdown, likely take another poll hit to king troll Trump, Pras.

You don't know what a melt-down is Daywolf. You okay tho'? Your logic lines are skewed from your normal ones.

Well, I for one am super pleased that we finally have resolution to this VERY important issue ^^ I am mildly annoyed though that he has misled me all this time... :c

We all know Obama is a muslim from kenya. Can't believe people still trying to deny it.

Obola himself had stuff published that said he was from Kenya. Of course, its believed that he originally did that to hide the fact that his real father was a soviet agent and communist pornographer named Frank Marshall Davis.

Either way, that troll on the media was totally Bannon. He knew that Hillary was the original birther, so he had Trump use that topic to draw them in, promote himself, and then when CNN got literally and quite visibly pissed they dug deeper into this topic to find more dirt on Trump and found that Hillary was actually the original birther.

Double troll.

I keep bringing this up because I think its the main reason he is going to lose. It's like when the old southern Democrats (now Republicans) got all defensive when people suggested "states rights" was a racist rallying call.

Playing stupid and/or like the victim of the media only works for so long.

By the way guys...you don't seriously think Hillary Clinton herself was sitting around sipping tea and came up with the birther shit herself...do you? This is the work of political operatives that have been exploiting the values of the working class their whole career.

The reality is that Hillary briefly flirted with it, but she never publicly embarrassed any theory about Obama not being born in the US. Trump did, repeatedly. Pawning this off on Clinton probably wont work in the long run.

This is important issue, in the sense that there is a very good chance this could make the difference between a Trump victory or defeat. No one thing has given him the "racist" label, but any kind of defense he comes up with has to include why he was spearheading birtherism for months as his primary campaign issue.

Edit: 72 percent of registered Republican voters still hold doubts about the President’s citizenship, even as his second term in office enters its final months. < http://www.salon.com/2016/08/11/trum...s-citizenship/ >

The isn't going to die.... I would love to talk about real issues. This country is too stupid for that ATM. You Trump supporters forgot that's the only reason your candidate has a chance in the first place.

R Flair 09-17-2016 12:58 PM

Of course republicans (informed citizens) still have doubts about Obola's citizenship, he LITERALLY published material saying he was BORN IN KENYA. You obviously aren't paying attention.

Try to catch up here.

You are pretty much advocating for Trump to cuckout. That hasn't worked, it will never work. That is what got us here in the first place. We are currently witnessing a divide in this country. People are having to choose a side. There is no middle ground. You either want to Make America Great Again or turn it into a 3rd world cesspool.
