Important notice about Saint Patty's Day

Please do not celebrate Saint Patty's Day unless you belong to the Irish diaspora.

It's unsensitive to the Irish and they don't want a bunch of cultural thieves laughing at there expense.

I recommend that you do not wear green or drink today.

Lord knows Trump will tweet something moronic today and that's enough for the Irish to deal with.

Thank you.

Paddy's, you idiot troll.

Project1984 03-17-2019 11:12 AM

I'm not trolling. I'm being serious

I got fired for bringing my drunk friend to work with me on graveyard shift a long time ago one Saint Patty’s night. He was getting belligerent with his GF and I wanted them apart for the evening. He bombed the restroom with puke and didn’t tell me. Nicest thing he ever did for me. Got me started back in school.

He was non-Irish, I presume?

I don't want to stereotype an Irish person for being a drunkard

My mom just told me I'm Irish, not German. This is new information for me. So my Irish ancestors moved to Austria and Hungry and then to the Black Forest region of Germany, which I suppose would have been Prussia at the time? My great-great grandfather was a cabinet maker and all he seemed to be doing around the turn of century ~1900 was making coffins. He would have a made a fortune, but he didn't want to benefit from the misfortune of others. Lot of respect for that man.

my grandpa dodged the korea draft. good man

Cecily 03-17-2019 06:34 PM

One grandfather was a paratrooper for Korea and the other got kicked out the air force for taking a jet on a joyride.
